St. Mary’s Community Primary School, Elmham Road Beetley
St. Mary’s Community Primary School is a large rural school. It was established in September 1983 for children between the ages of 4 and 11. It is situated in Beetley, just off the Fakenham Road, and is easily accessible from surrounding villages.
It is a modern, architect-designed school, brick-built, under a pantiled roof. The school is set in extensive grounds adjoining mixed woodland and has a large field with play apparatus and floodlit hard playing area, wildflower meadow and pond. There is also a low-impact play area specifically for the Infants.
In addition, neighbouring land is held by the Parish Council for the sole use of the school. This land includes a car park for parents’ use and a playing field. There is also an onsite pre-school, with which we have strong links.

School Governor Vacancy
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic member of the local community to join their governing body and help push the school’s performance to new heights.
School governors give up around 6-8 hours a month helping us make important decisions on issues such as budgets, curriculum, building management and staff recruitment. They act as a ‘critical friend’ to the Head Teacher, offering advice and support, whilst also holding them accountable.
Becoming a school governor is a great opportunity to develop new skills, meet new people and gain a fascinating insight into the education system. Although it is not necessary to have certain qualifications or experience, governing bodies will draw on each volunteer’s existing expertise and offer access to comprehensive training.
If you have an interest in supporting education in your local community, St Mary’s Community Primary School would love to hear from you. Please call 020 73549805, email email@example.com or visit www.becomeagovernor.com for more information.
