BEETLEY PRESCHOOL – Expansion plans

Beetley Preschool is an independent charity established in 1971, making it one of the longest running preschools in Norfolk. Run by Diane Calvert and her dedicated team, it provides an invaluable and affordable service to local families and has been rated ‘Excellent’ by Ofsted for more the past ten years.

There is a huge demand for places at the Preschool and there is a waiting list. The current metal mobile building is no longer fit for purpose; it is too small, is high maintenance and needs to be replaced. The charity’s aim is to create a bigger building with two classrooms, a quiet room for children with special needs, and better facilities including more outdoor space. A potential location has been identified on Parish Council owned land, part of which is currently used as a playing field by St Marys Community School.

The land is subject to a covenant which restricts the use of the land.
So that residents can find out more about the proposal, the Parish Council and the charity will be hosting two informal meetings at Beetley Preschool on Elmham Road on Friday 6th September at 7pm and
Saturday 7 September at 10am.
